My son, keep my words and treasure up my commandments with you; keep my commandments and live; keep my teaching as the apple of your eye; bind them on your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart. Proverbs 7:1-3
Hello, friend!

It has been a while. I have been busy working on several projects behind the scenes, and I am happy to introduce one of them to you today, Scripture Writing Plans!
Several years ago, I started writing scripture out and found a rhythm that worked for me. It was a way for me to be encouraged in the Word, be in the Word, and meditate on it throughout the day. It is a discipline that has transformed my mind/heart and walk with Jesus. It transformed the way I interacted with others, and even understanding the character of God more, amongst other things! God's Word transforms you from the inside out!
I am happy to offer this free PDF, "Anxiety, Hope in the Darkness." It is a list of scripture verses to help you refocus on God and His truths. So many women are struggling with this nowadays. I would love to encourage you in the Word and let you know that it will be OK. Several years ago, I struggled with this for a solid two years, it was chronic and intense. So I know the struggle, and I understand the reality of deep anxiety and stress. It is a hard to walk through, but friend, I would like to encourage you to look for God in the midst of it. There is hope in the darkness. There is hope in the middle of all the emotions and thoughts that come with anxiety, and his name is Jesus. He is near.
"Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you."
James 4:8
Here is how it works!
This is designed to coincide with the days of the month. So, for example, the first one,
"1. Psalm 94:19," would be March 1, and so on.

1. Download this FREE resource and print it off.
2. Grab your Bible, pen, and/or highlighters.
3. Grab a journal/notebook.
4. Find a quiet place.
5. Pray before starting.
6. Look up the Scripture for the day.
7. Write it out and anything that God may be stirring in your heart.
Bonus:
1. Read the 3-4 verses before and after for context.
2. As you write it out, are there words that pop out that need further study?
3. Is Holy Spirit laying something on your heart? Write it down, so you don't forget!
4. Write a prayer out.
FIND A COMFY PLACE
I like to find a comfy place to sit down for my quiet time and pull out my Bible and journal to look up the scripture reference.
BEGIN WITH PRAYER
Prayer is the foundation of my day and quiet time.
I encourage you to start your time in prayer. These are some of the things that are in my prayers: for the Holy Spirit to prepare my heart to hear what he may have for me that day, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal what this verse tells about God and His character and I pray that He will help me understand it. I also will ask him to help me live it out and in what ways that I can apply it to my life.

OPEN YOUR BIBLE & WRITE
The next step is to open your Bible, look up the verse, and write it out in your journal or notebook. I love to write it down because it helps solidify it a bit more in my brain. I am fully immersed in His Word when I write it down. It helps to hide it in my heart. I am storing His Word in my heart when I write it out and meditate on it. Writing also forces me to slow down and digest it more. I can marinade on each word a bit longer if needed.
Another part I treasure and encourage you to write down is anything you feel God is laying on your heart. Anything. I encourage you to turn it into a prayer. Have a conversation with God.
BLESSINGS OF WRITING SCRIPTURE OUT
Over the past several years of writing out His Words, I see the many blessings of this discipline,
God's truth is firmly planted in my heart
God's truth is hidden in my heart
Writing it out helps me remember where the books of the Bible are
Allows me to combat the enemy's lies easier with God's truths
Allows me to remember God's truths in times of need
God frequently uses it to encourage and uplift others
Journaling my thoughts, I have been able to look back and be reminded of God's faithfulness and goodness
